Lakers @ Jazz: Mitchell, Utah set to host Lakers on Friday night

With LeBron James set to miss three more games due to a groin injury, the Los Angeles Lakers will look to make it three wins in a row on Friday night in Utah.

Kuzma had 22 points in the third quarter alone as he hit four three-pointers, and joined Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, James Harden and LeBron James with 40 or more points in three quarters this season.

Lakers @ Jazz Spread
The Utah Jazz are giving the Lakers 8.5 points in this basketball game.
As of right now, nearly 70 percent of the public money is currently being wagered on the Lakers in this matchup, so that means I'm going to roll in the opposite direction and take the Jazz giving the 8.5 points in this one.
The Jazz are a loaded team and they are not to be overlooked, especially at home. And since the Lakers will once again be without LeBron James, I definitely see the Jazz coming away with a home victory in this matchup.
Take the Jazz.
Lakers @ Jazz Over/Under
The over/under in this one is set at 217 total points.
My final score prediction: Utah Jazz 110, Los Angeles Lakers 100.
Roll with the under in this basketball game.
Where the game will be won or lost
Through the first five games of January, Donovan Mitchell is averaging 24.4 points, 4.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds.
The second-year pro is shooting 47.1 percent from three-point range during that stretch, which is helping the Jazz in a big way since they are without injured point guards Ricky Rubio and Dante Exum.
Mitchell, who scored 33 points against Orlando on Wednesday, shot 12-of-21 from the field to turn in his fifth 30 or more point game of the season, and it proved to be his best all-around performance as he matched his season-high with seven assists.
Mitchell helped the Jazz rally from a 21-point first-half deficit, and ultimately come away with the big win. Mitchell will look to stay hot and lead the Jazz on Friday night against the visiting Lakers.
