76ers @ Raptors: Philly, Toronto clash in Game 7 for a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals

76ers @ Raptors NBA odds spreads and predictions

Philadelphia eyes the franchise's first conference finals since 2000.

The Philadelphia 76ers handled the Toronto Raptors across the board in their 112-101 Game 6 win on Thursday night.

Philadelphia surprisingly out-rebounded the Raptors 64-43, and improved from three-point range knocking down 10-of-28 attempts (35.7%).

Jimmy Butler lead the charge with a team-high 25 points and eight assists while shooting 50 percent from the field.

Ben Simmons returned to form after his poor seven-point Game 5 performance. Simmons totaled 21 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.

Joel Embiid, who has been battling a left knee injury and an upper respiratory infection, started slow in Game 6 and had a rough shooting night, but managed to put together a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds on 5-of-14 shooting.

The lowdown

The Toronto Raptors had won two consecutive games in the series before faltering in Game 6 by 11 points.

Toronto trailed practically wire to wire while their defense allowed the Sixers to shoot nearly 50 percent from the field and gave up 29 points in each of the first three quarters.

Kawhi Leonard and Pascal Siakam were the only players to make it happen for the Raptors offensively. Leonard lead the way posting a double-double with a team-high 29 points and 12 rebounds.

Siakam shot 50 percent from the field for 21 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

76ers @ Raptors Spread

The Toronto Raptors are giving the Sixers 6 points in this basketball game.

The winner of this matchup will have a date with the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday night.

The Raptors won by 36 points in Game 5, and although the 76ers stole Game 2 on the road, I'm not convinced the process will get the job done.

With the way this series has trended, my full expectation is that Toronto will win at home and advance to the East Finals.

Take Toronto to coer.

76ers @ Raptors Over/Under

The over/under in this one is set at 209 total points.

My final score prediction: Philadelphia 76ers 102, Toronto Raptors 110

Take the over in this matchup.

Where the game will be won or lost

In Game 5, the Raptors blew out the 76ers at home 125-89 while knocking down 16-40 three-pointers (40.0 %). Meanwhile, the Sixers were ice cold from beyond the arc shooting 6-of-24 (25%).

However in Game 6, Toronto shot poorly from long range making just 9-of-36 attempts.

Although Leonard and Siakam will need big games, it's important for the Raptors to get going beyond the arc.

Philadelphia, on the other hand, have to be physical in the paint and ideally out-rebound the Raptors again.

For that to happen in Toronto, Embiid needs to continue to improve, especially if the three-ball begins to not fall in their favor. Embiid had an off game in Game 5 where he was a turnover machine with eight turnovers, 13 points and six rebounds.
