The Washington Redskins face off with the resurging New York Giants looking to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Washington (6-6) took a step back in the NFC East losing to the rival Philadelphia Eagles 28-13.
The Redskins lost starting quarterback Alex Smith to a broken leg two weeks ago, and to make matters worse, backup Colt McCoy broke his leg late in the first quarter against the Eagles leaving Mark Sanchez to fill in under center.
Sanchez finished completing 13-of-21 for 100 yards, no touchdowns and an interception.
Adrian Peterson sparked the offense with a career and franchise-best 90-yard rushing touchdown during the second quarter, but would finish the game with just 98 yards on nine carries.
Washington's defense has been the team's lone bright spot allowing (21.4 ppg) which is eighth best in the NFL.
New York (4-8) got back on track following a rollercoaster 30-27 overtime victory over the Chicago Bears.
The Giants defense set the tone on the first play of the game as linebacker Alec Ogletree returned an interception for a touchdown.
Ogletree would later add another interception, as the defense sacked Chicago five times and recovered a fumble.
Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made his presence felt throwing his second touchdown pass of the season when connecting with fellow wideout Russell Shepard for a 49-yard score.
Beckham Jr. also had three receptions for 35 yards and another touchdown.
Running back Saquon Barkley continued to be the workhorse of New York's offense with his third consecutive game over 100 yards rushing, carrying the ball 24 times for 125 yards.
Giants vs Redskins Spread
The Redskins are getting 3.5 points in this matchup.
New York's offense has clicked since the bye week averaging (29.3 ppg) over that span.
Although the Redskins defense is stout, the offense's injury woes may cause them to struggle.
Take the Giants to cover.
Giants vs Redskins Over/Under
The over/under in this matchup is set at 41 points.
My final score prediction: New York Giants 27, Washington Redskins 17
Take the over in this game.
Giants vs Redskins Moneyline
Think New York will win two in a row? You'd have to pay $190 to win $100 profit.
Like Washington to get back on track? Spending $63 wins a $100 profit.
Where the game will be won or lost
Washington defeated New York 20-13 in Week 8.
For the Redskins, they'll need to feed Peterson on the ground.
In Week 8, Peterson did it all rushing 26 times for 149 yards and one touchdown, adding a reception for seven yards and another score.
The Giants have to get the ball into the hands of Barkley, who is just 46 yards short of becoming New York's first 1,000-yard rusher since 2012.
